Default Home study question

We are having our home study on Thursday at 2pm and I need advice if I should offer coffee and cookies or just water or juice? I want it to be cozy and a good experience.. I know I am over thinking it but please give advice

I think the best strategy is to be yourselves and not overdo the hospitality, as this is not a social call. You are clearly very interested in adopting a child, and have given much thought to it. The social worker will notice this, without food being served. Best of luck!

That's what I was thinking when I read this, Lori. We cleaned up the house when we had visits, but no more than we would for anyone who was visiting our home. And while we were nice and welcoming, we didn't try and go over the top with anything. They need to get a feel for who you really are, not who you are when you're on your best behavior and trying to impress someone.

I see that this question is a bit old, though, and so I wonder if she might come back and let us know how it went.
