I am a single mom. I am considering dating again. I haven't dated since my son was born. I don't want to take the time away from my son "hanging out" trying to meet any man. I would love to have a relationship again.

I don't really trust dating websites. I don't want to go to a bar. How do I meet a good man? Any ideas?

Be fine alone. Dating and parenting are not mutually exclusive, but it can be a really hard balance. I had the best luck when I was 100% invested in my own l life and enjoying it...my kids are older, but I ended up dating my son's Little League baseball coach.

Volunteer - at your local church, library, school, hospital, nursing home. You will meet people and in sharing of your self in volunteering, will increase your self esteem.

Well my friend you will find a good man if you go to church always, have faith in God. Don't rush into a relationship your day will come. You have a cute son and you should look for a man that will love both you and your son. Pray always and be true to yourself.

I've been a single mom for a while now and dating can be difficult for many, many reasons. I've met the nicest men through friends or at church. Just take your time and get to know them well since a new relationship will affect your kids lives (hopefully in a good way)!

I agree with the many suggestions to look for ways to meet men in your normal everyday activities. Regardless of being time-challenged, that's the best way to meet a man anyway. I have one suggestion to add - meet a man and get your workout in. I've met men through ExerciseFriends.com, Meetup and Yahoo Groups. I've joined hiking, biking and other outdoor oriented groups and have met some really great men and women.
