How do you celebrate Easter in your country?
The Easter Bunny comes over night (much like Santa) and leaves a basket of goodies. Then, the child uses that basket later on in the day for Easter egg hunts. Very fun fir the kids. How about you guys?

that's what we do, but we are also teaching our children what Easter is really about. We still do the goodies, but this is an important Christian holiday and we want our girls to know what it is about. Have any of you seen the hollow cookie reciepe? I wish that I could find it. It seems like lots of fun to make!!

Re: How do you celebrate Easter in your country?
I put the easter basket out at night then when they get up look through their baskets I hide eggs! The baskets consist of a little candy I was thinking this year to do sunglassess, maybe a movie, a few adds and ends I am not sure about a stuffed animal because they have so much, Valentines day I just give them a little bit of candy and a little stuffed animal, (but I hand it to them nothing that big.)

The Easter bunny comes with baskets and whatever else "she" feels like giving. Then there is the family dinner of ham and whatever else we feel like cooking. But ham is essential.

Re: How do you celebrate Easter in your country?
Well, Makayla is still too young for an Easter egg Hunt, but I still give her an Easter Basket that I will make on my own. It will have a couple of stuff animals, books, and any other learning toys I find. Then, we will go to Church with a couple of friends. And have a good Easter meal.

Re: How do you celebrate Easter in your country?
At our house, we discuss what the real meaning of Easter is, cos we feel it IS the most important Christian holiday (besides Christmas)...AND "The Bunny" does baskets and hides eggs for the kids (and Mom and Dad get presents, too! )...but "The Bunny" does a scavenger hunt for Channi (and will for Keanan, too, when he's older) and her think about where the next clue is hidden...till she finds that basket!
then we spend the day enjoying each other, and usually have fried chicken, potato salad, devilled eggs and dessert of some sort.
When we go to my in-laws in Canada, we do much the same, except there is ham for dinner, and we have a campfire in the evening and roast marshmallows. Lots of fun! ;D

Here we color eggs in the morning when we get up with the kids and then we go to my Mother in laws house and we eat with them and do an easter egg hunt with them for the kids and then we go to my mom and dads and eat with them and do a little egg hunt.
