How do you do this?
How do you clean your dishwasher? Ours is not very old...maybe a year or so, and it gets so stinky inside it sometimes!
I'm not sure why! I use Palmolive dishwasher soap, and last week, I ran it with just a cup full of baking soda only...just to see if it would help. Needless to say, it didnt.
Any suggestions?

A cup of vinegar will take the stench out of something. Why not try running it with vinegar? That's my brilliant idea. After that I'm abo****ely out of ideas. . .brilliant or otherwise!

Awesome! Thank you! Oh, one question...do I use white vinegar or cider or does it matter?

I would think white. I've never tried to remove odors w/any other kind of vinegar besides white--but I don't know that it matters either?!

This works great-- it also takes away the cloudiness on any clear glassware at the same time if you have any of that, too. It's from the Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb. http://www.recipezaar.com/87538

Oh, okay...I'll have to get some of that, because yes, it is making my glasses cloudy looking. Thanks Ladies!

When I worked apartment maintenance, we'd clean insides with foaming bubbles. But you've got to let it sit. It also might be food build-up on the rubber....things (I know real techinical right? *laugh* right below the door (but not on the door). Try pulling those out and clean them with a toothbrush. We'd use johnson's wax floor s.t.ripper, but foaming cleaner repeatedly will work too. Also try running your dishwasher without anything in it, and don't use soap either, for a couple of cycles.

I just read this last week in our local grocery store booklet but it said that you can use Tang to clean the dishwasher....I haven't tried it but we might. So if you have any and you want to experiment it may be interesting.
