How do you earn extra Disney Vacation money?
One of the easiest ways to earn money is eBay. If you have some old, rare items, you can earn a lot of money for your vacation. All you have to do is search your home, and gather all thr stuff you no longer need. After that, get an eBay account, and search for the closed auctions so you can find out how much you will make on each item. Once you have this information, you can start your auctions and watch the bids roll in. If you use eBay, you can easily earn up to an extra 100.00 or more.

Yes, I have sold quite a bit on ebay, but the closed auctions do not always tell the story. You really need to compare it to your item, condition, etc - and it helps to look at the auction strategy. Did the auction that netted a good price start with a low first bid? Was there a reserve? Those are all pretty important.
I sell collectible books on ebay - you have to know what you have with collectibles, otherwise the buyer may be really disappointed and give you some trouble.
Some families save money for splurges like this with a combination of ebay, garage sales, and actually profiting by shopping wisely with coupons, rebates, and stockpiling. There are a number of discussions on this in our deals section. It's really neat when they pay you to take something away, and then if you have extra you can sell your surplus at a garage sale.

One of the girls that I work with has a family rule: all loose change goes into a big piggy bank for vacation. It quickly adds up. Bringing it to the bank to be counted makes it easy. If you take it to one of those coin machines....like Wallyworld or Tarjay, you lose part of your profits.
We have a good credit union that takes a portion of every paycheck for my vacation time account. Used to be that you could only remove funds once a year, but now that has been changed to twice a year.
Another excellent example is to use those before taxes accounts for health care or child care.
You have to sign up before the end of December for the next year.
$$$$ are taken out every paycheck for either the health care or child care expense accounts.
This builds up over 12 months.
If you then pay for health care or child care out of pocket, then in November, turn in all your receipts for the refunding on the accounts, you have a nice tidy amount for vacation or other needs.

You could always do market research groups. You can do online surveys or in person focus groups. Do an online search for survey companies...there are tons out there. The in person focus groups give you the most bang for your buck, but the little $3-$5 online surveys can add up, too.

Hey--we do the change jar thing too! And when we pay bills, we deduct the amount rounded up so the change stays in our bank account. it really is a very easy way to save. We've funded all manner of things this way!

Friends of ours actually went on a cruise with coins. They put them in a large water cooler bottle and ended up with enough for a Caribbean cruise for two. I am ebaying right now for extra vacation money. We are going to disney in June.

I funded my upcoming trip doing surveys for different sites.
check out...
Both of those cash out with Disney Dollars and Gift Cards, so I can directly apply them to my package costs. Let me know if you have questions.
I also do the eBay thing, but man the eBay and PayPal fees are KILLING me!!

I saw this about the disney cards and disney bucks, and think that is marvelous.
We've had a problem with way too many "sign up for this site under my referral link" posts - I am leaving this one because it pertains to Disney. But I am taking out a good many in our deals section, and I will knock out any others linking to these same sites.
If you know of reward sites that offer specific Disney points or rewards for the Disney vacation, please add them here. I have found that mypoints and memolink have travel/hotel/restaurant/fuel awards that are good for travel, but not centered on Disney.

We are looking forward to being able to go to Disney World in the near future. My husband has been there once when he was a child and I have never been there. Our children, ages 2 and 1 want to go so bad but we have another baby on the way due 08/23/07 so it will be a little while before we can go. We were able to buy a travel membership package that includes Disney (FL, CA, and others) and there are some awesome deals in it. Best of all, the package is for a lifetime. I just wanted to share. If you would like some more info on it, just send me a message.
Have a Blessed Day,
