Pattie,
...and don't ya just hate it when the store changes everything around! I would save my lunches and breaks to go shopping at the end of the week, only to find out Costco moved everything around!

We buy all of our meat, veggies, cheese, milk and eggs from local free range organic farms. Any fish comes from a fishmonger from Grimsby(famous fishing town). Then anything else we cannot get from local business we go to a supermarket, but stick to the organic section and environmentally friendly household products.

We do the "Grocery Game" (www.thegrocerygame.com). We are a coupon cutting family and go each Sunday. We save so much... many times 30-35%.
Now for baby needs we cut coupons and use them at Walmart. I am sure that will expand once our little guys gets here!

Since we moved we don't do a big shop - we live a 20 minute walk away from the store, and it's a lovely walk - trees, hills, farm land - so we like to do it as often as possible - it's downhill on the way there, and uphill with the bags on the way back, so it gets you fit too!

I suspect in the winter, when the paths are icy, we'll have to start planning again, but for now, it's nice to just nip to the shops, and eat fresh produce every day.
