I was watching some old episodes of Judge Judy on youtube, and came across this one in particular that just kinda bugged me. Well, apparently it bugged alot of other people too, because the comments put to it are pretty nasty and hateful. So, having said that, PLEASE do NOT scroll down and read the comments if children or teens are there and able to read them as well. I got permission to post this, only because we think it could lead to some really good discussions and reminders on teenage behavior and safety.
The plaintiff in the case is the one the nasty comments are directed towards, and for good reason! I cannot believe the audacity of this woman. I think Judge Judy's decision was fair. But its a tragic story about something that didn't have to happen, had the teenagers been properly supervised.
I'm thinking back, and I don't remember any of the parents in my neighborhood leaving keys in their car, but that still didn't keep the kids from getting to them. I think when Alyssa is old enough, I am wearing the car keys around my neck at all times!
