Default How Do You Unwind

How do you unwind after a long day?
Some people have a glass of wine, some read, others watch TV...What do you do?

Kids go to bed. My wife and I head for our rec room. Depending on the night, we may flip on a favorite TV show -- Commander in Chief or Lost. We pour a glass of wine. I pack my pipe, light up and fill the air with the beautiful aroma of Cousins Five Golds tobacco. Mmm. I feel more relaxed just thinking about it.

Favourite tv program, its got to be a bit of comedy,i live in the uk and i dont know if youve heard of these tv programs.
only fools and horses(Rodney you plonker)
the office(uk version),dont like the american one,not quite the same.

little britain
theres lots more but when im concentrating so much on a program everything else goes out the window. This is the definative answer to de-stressing,comedy,comedy and more comedy.

You're absolutely right about the American & English versions of programs just not being the same. My husband and I both used to live in England and we just love the humor there. We're nuts about shows like "Whose Line is it?" and especially "Coupling". Sadly, the American version of Coupling was so whitewashed that it was complete rubbish. The humor just doesn't translate for Americans. (I'm also a big fan of "Absolutely Fabulous" and "Spooks/MI-5".)
Great entertainment across the pond!

Wordsaplenty,

I become more convinced every day that we were separated at birth girlfriend! I LOVE LOVE LOVE a nice, deep, HOT bubble bath! We got lucky when we found this house to find that it has a corner jetted tub (but it takes about an ocean of water to fill it). Because that bathroom has NO windows I bought a huge mural of tuscany and pasted it to the wall behind it so it appears that you are sitting on the deck of villa and then strung white twinkle lights through some cheap grapevines to frame that corner and my favorite thing is to put on some etheral music, turn all the lights off but the twinkle ones, and soak in that tub until I reach DEEP PRUNE!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My second favorite thing is a good back rub from my DH or snuggled up in a soft blanket with a good book....HEAVEN

For me... (don't laugh) ...computer games! If I need something to entertain my mind, I'll play mah jongg or another puzzle game... if I need to work off some frustration, my fiancee and I play superhero role playing games. Nothing like punching bad guys to help ease stress! I must sound like a 12 year old sometimes, huh?
