Re: How far apart ???
There are 2 yrs, 7 months, 2 days between Noah and Ridley. Then there are 3 years, 2 months, 3 weeks, 2 days between Ridley and Charlie. If my body acts the same way it has in the past Charlie should be about 3 1/2 when the 4th and final baby is born. I don't like age gaps much. Sure it's harder when you have 3, 4, 5 or more all sandwiched together but in the long run they can lean on each other through thick and thin and will be able to share more of their lifetimes together.

Re: How far apart ???
Heike and this little one will be 23 months apart. I would have preferred further, but you take what God gives you, I guess. ;D
However, I have too friends who swear by close together children. They both have kids who are 15 months apart and have said that although it was trying at first, they wouldn't have done it differently. (Both had the same gender, so they could reuse clothes and toys, etc.)

Re: How far apart ???
being close in age is great I think!...sure its a handful, but I think it would be a wonderful bonding expierence for the children! they will stay occupied together and keep each other company. but being further apart gives the older child more time with mom and dad...Matthew just hasent had daily interaction with other children so I am scared with how he will act based upon several incidents with other kids hitting, biting, pushing, just in gereral hurting other kids he doesnt like. I just hope he will do fine with it...
good luck with whatever you decide erin, I am sure you will do great in either direction you go!

Re: How far apart ???
Cole is 3yrs and 2mo older than Hailey and Hailey is 3yrs and 4mo older than Carter. I love that my kids are spaced that far apart because it's been easier to transition a new baby home when they're old enough to help out. Plus, they were both potty trained before the new baby came in so we didn't have double diaper duty. This has worked best for our family and I have to give some major respect to the mommies out there who have kids spaced really close together...I couldn't even imagine!

Caitlyn and Abby are 2 years, 2 weeks apart and Owen came 3 years after that. Its sort of funny cuz their birthdays are January, Febraury and March

Re: How far apart ???
Courtney and Dominick are 3 years and 6 days apart, Dominick and Connor are about 6 weeks shy of 2 years apart, and Connor and Carlee are 3 years 2 1/2 months apart. I sure wish I could have had them closer in age.

Re: How far apart ???
No, not if you are already mentally prepared for both being in diapers, etc. There are definite advantages, cos one of Ian's first memories will be his sibling--he won't remember being the only--especially if they grow to be good friends. It's just initially exhausting. It is not something I would choose to do, unless there's a medical reason (such as the one you are eluding to), cos that would just be too much for me to handle so soon--but that's just me--I really don't adjust well to changes, and not everyone has those issues. Others thrive on them! Good luck, Erin!

Re: How far apart ???
No not at all!!! My sister and I are just under 14 months apart and she was my best friend growing up!!! I think the closer in age you can handle them, the better for them and you.
Good Luck sweetie!!!

My sis and I are 17mnths apart...I find that It's great! I have more incommon with that sis then the other 2 as one is 5yrs younger the other 10yrs younger than me. My mom said it was hard but that we entertained each other and that part helped a lot.
