Default how long does it take in weeks for metformin to work

( i need to hear from woman who are overweight with moderate pcos, similar to me so maybe like only 2 periods a year or so,)
last cycle was 5 months long , the one before was 7 months long!!!!!!!
i was a 32 day cycle before 2005 ,
i had 2 m/c in 2006 and 2 m/c in 2007, found out i had pcos in november 2008
so i have been on metformin since november 2008
my cycle that just finished was around 9 weeks long i was on met for 6 of those weeks so i guess it took around 5 weeks to work to bring on ovulation ,
(i ovulated on 7/1/09 ) ( i have a luteal of 10-11 days) but this time it was 14 days to the day!!!!! (NEVER had a 14 day luteal before!)
so im on a new cycle now cd 5 ( still spotting from period all most finished!) what would be the number of days for this cycle do you estamate, do you think it would be even shorter!, do you think maybe almost back near 32 days or does it not work so quick i was just so suprised with a 9 weeks cycle im hopeful it will half again this cycle im so used to 7 & 5 month long cycles im a little excited
that i may be able to try again for a lil bubby
please let me know everything im new to this,
jody
