Default How many of you scrapbook?

it is such a fun hobby and a great way to put your pics in a way that they can be viewed and not shoved away in a box or those magnetic photo albums that end up ruining your pics. To me it is therapy cause it gives me a chance to relax.

Default Scrapbooking

I have to admit ShoeScrapper that I'm one of the founding members of "Mothers Against Scrapbooking". HAHAHA With six kids and a full plate, I decided that I could either RAISE the kids or make books about them, but not both! I envy and admire people who have so much creativity that they can make every page unique, but I was born without that gene I think!

Our company works perfect for me, because I can make a page, and then hit "save" and not have to worry about picking things up, hiding all the cool scissors and pens from my kids (who think that anything that dispenses color of any kind is FREE game) and then laying it all out again. And if I was one of those moms lucky enough to have a "room" to craft in, I'd pad it with nice fluffy white foam, fill a cubbie with chocolate and lock myself in and just READ!!!

I've been told by die hard (die cut? punny...) scrappers that they love our 12x12 book option becaues they can literally make a full color, glossy pages, (archival too) COPY of their "real" scrapbooks and either keep it when the child leaves home or give the kid the COPY. (I find it amusing that after all those years of building something FOR YOUR CHILD...that you want to keep it yourself in the end!) So we have some fun options for traditional scrapbookers as well as a way for the "author" in me to make something more my style. Although I'll be thrown out of the Mother's Against Scrapbooking club if they find out I'm now addicted to digital scrapbooking and can use PhotoShop with my eyes closed...our little secret???

LeAnn your post made me laugh.
I guess I'd be the founding member of scrapbookersanon - which of course is for those of us HIGHLY addicted.
The sad part is the misconception that every page has to be detailed and perfect. It doesn't. Simple is often best. It's the way I prefer. I still enjoy my photos to be the focul point and all the distractions from embellishments and the like, can get annoying.
Anyway, at least you found your "thing" in the digital era. That is one place I just can't get into the groove of, though every few months I try again. Just not as much fun for me!

Wait until you see what we are launching in June of 2006...free online digital scrapbooking program integrated into our system so you can play to your heart's content without purchasing any programs etc. I dare you to make one of our books and NOT get addicted to story booking...I'm hopelessly addicted now....and I refuse to get better!!!

I do both paper scrapbooking and digital scrapbooking. I'm fortunate to be skilled in Photoshop, so I usually use Photoshop and perhaps Illustrator to do my digital work.

One of my best friends is into scrapbooking more than I and she has amassed quite a collection of "stuff." She made me a fantastic scrapbook for one of my birthdays that is among my treasured posessions.

I scrapbook (well when I have time). I don't even have kids yet! I love being able to put keepsake stuff in with the pictures.
