Just wanted to wish everybody "Happy Literacy Day"...whether in Canada or not it is always a good day if you have had some time to read...I think every day should be literacy day!!! In any case, take the time to read with/to yourself/your kids...let your kids read to you...Play some language based games like Scrabble, Upwords, Boggle, Balderdash, etc...do a crossword/word search together..write and keep a journal together...share family stories together...whether it is the written word or an oral history celebrate literacy with your family!!!
