Exclamation How many times....

should my 2 yr old be urinating? She has been potty trained since about 18months, and has been trained at night since about 22 months...heres the issue...shes so trained now that she refuses to pee when she wakes up in the morning...and she usually doesnt go before bed either...sometimes she doesnt pee until lunch time! its like 15 or more hours she goes w/o going! When I finally get her to sit down and go, she goes a decent amount. She drinks A LOT during the day, and drinks an 8oz cup of water every night (throughout the night she wakes up thirsty all the time) Then she usually only goes 2 or 3 more times during the day...so shes only going 3-4 times. I know I only go 3-4 times, but im an adult...her bladder cant be THAT big!!

Erin is 5 and she has always been like this too. STILL i have to tell her to go to the bathroom. She usually goes right before lunch and then after supper and I HAVE TO MAKE her sit down and try before bed. She drinks plenty too during the day, alot actually. I have asked her Ped. and she says as long as there is not pain or fear involved in going then its ok......
Silly girls!!!

My guess would be if she isn't in pain and if she isn't wetting herself because she just isn't making it to the toilet then its probably fine. Like everyone else said, I would ask the dr if you really are worried it isn't enough...

I don't have a kiddo old enough as a point of reference. But I remember my mom saying that I was like that when I was little. That when I was in Kindergarten I would get up in the morning, refuse to go pee, then wait all day at school. And go when I got home. (12 noon)
I never had any problems, I just don't have to go that often. In fact shen I was preggers, everyone was surprised at how I never hed to run to pee all the time like they all did.
If she isn't in pain at all, and there is no dark color or smell I wouldn't worry. Next time you talk to her doctor mention it to him, just for your own piece of mind.
