We just switched Ian to Soy milk, witch he loves. But how much should he be drinking? I am trying my hardest to get him on a sippy cup but he still almost always has a bottle .

sorry momma, i don't know anything about soy milk.

ds drinks forumula w/ iron.

his pedi recommended that he drink 20-30 oz of formula / day at least until he is one.

he drinks about 24oz a day.

How old is Ian? If he's under a year, he should mostly be drinking some type of formula. If he's around 9-12 mos he can drink one or two glasses of milk. It's not so much that there's a wrong amount as much as you don't want to give him so much that he doesn't eat/drink what he needs of other foods.

Ians I think is almost a year old...

Erin..I switched Alejandro to Soy when he was around 15mnths or so...He has allergies to cow milk and would get a tummy ache and lots of other unpleasent things....I suggest still giving him some formula so his body gets used to the Soy. Alejandro drinks the Soy that is calcium (sp?) fortified. Soy has everything that cow milk has in it BUT it does not have any extra fat...that's why I still had Alejandro on formula after he was a year old. What had your doc said? Have you decided to switch to soy due to his reflux?
