Hello,
My 22 month old son is now sleeping in his new big boy bed (finally after an hour of crying).. I was jw, how old were your children when it became normal?

at 2yrs (literally the day after her b'day) Gabby started climbing out of her cot so we turned it to a toddler bed and she is still in that, she is now 27 mths

Izzy started climbing out around 9 months, so on her 1st birthday the gate came off. (she had a stages crib) when she was about 18 months we got the toddler bed, since we have a little one past due & we'll need the crib

Varied with each child. Between 16 months and 2 1/2. some kids seem to prefer the security of a cot others hate it and prefer to be free.

DS is 15 months and sleeps in his crib at home, but in daycare he sleeps on a cot.

Vinnie was 12-13 months, mostly because he wouldn't stay in the thing, and CeJay was 2-3 months old and out growing his bassinet... he LOVED his bed right away. CeJay was about 15 months when he started his big boy bed. He straight out broke the crib from trying to get out. Scarlette on the other hand is just about 20 months and is still in her crib. She never tries to escape. Once she tries, we'll get her a big girl bed... Good luck!

None of my boys have made it to age 2 in a crib. In fact, most barely made it past a year. Noah was in a toddler bed from about a year until about 3 1/2. I got bunk beds for him and Ridley at that point so Ridley has been in a twin bed since about a year. Charlie was about 18 months when he got the toddler bed. Gabe went straight from crib to twin at 15 months.

So happy that they are all in twin beds at this point. No more bed adjustments for them as long as they live under my roof.
