Default How to be deployed and still keep your family together

I am a new soldier about to be deployed for the first time. This is a new experience for me and my family (I have a couple of kids). I want to know how families keep their relationships together when it comes to their spouses as well as keeping a close rleationships with their children while deployed. I would like my family to always remain close knit regardless of the challenges we face. Anybody have any ideas on this?

A friend of mine got deployed about 5 years ago. He kept in touch with is family through web cam chats, email and phone calls as often as allowed.

Default deployment...

I'm wondering that myself. My soldier is going pretty soon too & I am very nervous about losing touch with him while he is deployed .
