Default how to tell our parents (long)

well, here we are....miscarriage and loss board....again. it is so hard to believe it. we dont have our HCG results from this morning yet, but the spotting is getting heavier and the cramping is getting worse, so we know we have lost our bean.

a little bit of background: our first pregnancy ended in miscarriage in October 2006. we never told our parents. the reason for this was that we had never gotten a chance to tell them of the pregnancy, and we miscarried so soon after we found out. we were in shock over what we were going through. when it came time to tell our parents, we just didnt have the heart to do it. we were hurting so much, and we didnt want them to hurt like we were. also, we wanted to grieve alone. we were ok with keeping that skeleton in our closet.

here we are again, but this time, we feel like it is time that we told them about the first miscarriage, the struggle to get pregnant again following it (it took about a year trying off and on), and the current miscarriage that we are going through. we will probably do it wednesday since we will know more, and hopefully will have had a face to face meeting with my doctor. we would do it tomorrow, but tuesday is our wedding anniversary. we hate that this is so close to Christmas also. But, there is no "good" time to tell them.

my question is: how would you guys go about telling your parents if you were in our shoes. i am afraid our parents will be very upset about not telling them about the first one, although once they know our reasons, i think they will understand; i hope they understand. thanks ladies, in advance, for your input, and all of the support you guys have given me.
