Default hyper activity in infants?

ok this is probably a weird question, but is it possible for an infant to be hyperactive?

Kaydee is jsut about 7 months old, and I know babies are learning, and you cant expect them to sit still. BUT she is really crazy

It was about 9:30 last night and she was super exhausted (I know because she was rubbing her eyes like crazy) I layed her in the crib and she starts cracking up laughing and kicking both feet (hard) at the same time, making her whole body jump. This went on for a good 10 mins before I finally took her out of the crib and put her in the swing (where she crashed almost instantly!)

Shes like this all day long too...she is JUST about crawling, she can rock and scooch, just hasnt mastered the actual crawl yet. But she gets soooo mad and flops to her belly and starts kicking and screaming (Im sure she is frustrated)

In the excersaucer she literally jumps so hard that the entire thing moves! And its not one of the ones made for jumping

I just dont remember Jaecy having this much energy! She doesnt even nap anymore during the day unless we take a car ride...she jsut wants to move and move and move

Am I in for it? DH has ADHD, is it inherited? I dont usually believe in that stuff, but DH made me a believer....he cant sit still, fidgets constantly, cant concentrate on anything (forgets something you told him 2 mins ago, because he doesnt (cant) pay attention) Just tell me shes acting like a crazy active normal 7 month old !!!

She's not hyper, she is just active. 7 months is a fun age, they really want to get going with the exploration. They get very frustrated when their bodies don't follow along.

Sometimes, they just don't want to turn it off and they fight sleep.

My oldest was a very active and large baby. My youngest was very quiet and still. But today, the oldest is the couch potato and the youngest is the athlete.

Just be glad that your baby is healthy and active.

Must wear Mom out by the end of the day too.

I'd just assume she's a happy, energetic baby

! Agreed. Kenzie is pretty laid back most days- but she jumps in her jumperoo so hard it sounds like she's shaking the bolts out of it- and she's always kicking her feet and arms(especially at bed time)!
