Ok so we are leaving tomm on vacation and instead of kenneling Dakota (our Husky) like we have in the past our friends offered to watch him. I thought it would be great because then he wouldnt be locked up all day and would have other dogs around, well I dropped him off with them at about 6:30 and they just sent me a pic of him on my phone and said they cut his hair so he wouldnt be so hot and I saw the pic and they SHAVED his entire coat OFF, yes like GONE!!!! It is only about 1/2 inch long now!!! I am so mad, and worried!! For those who dont know I live in Texas and so now Im afraid he will have an awful sunburn when I get home!!! I mean they need their coat as much in the summer for protection as the winter!! WHy the HE** would you shave someones dog completely without asking them first!?!?!?!?!? Has anyone else shaved their dogs before in the heat?
