Default I am thinking of becoming a SAHM...

My daughter turned 1 yesterday.
And lately I have been having thoughts of leaving my job and staying at home with the baby till she goes to school.
Like many here, I would supplement the income with writing. I work at a newspaper now then I guess I would just freelance and could make $100-$150 per article sometimes without leaving home or if I do for only no more than 2 hours.
My question is what are some of the pros and cons I should be considering (especially the ones you didnt foresee till u did it?)
I have read some on the posts in this thread but I want to know about making the decision, the actual transition, and if anyone has done SAHM and reentered the workforce.
My fiance soon to be husband says he thinks I wouldnt be happy...and in a way he is right. I am a college graduate and been working since I was 14, though I know the reward of raising our child with our values is priceless, it would be hard knowing that he is the "provider". Plus I wonder if I will get cabin fever.
