Default I Hate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid People who drive drunk!!!! Dh and I just went on Tuesday and got me a pretty van. It is a 2000 Plymonth Voyager. It has low milage WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT! and was in mint condition. Only one previous owner and it still smelled like new. Well today I was helping a friend out taking her to go cash her check and was at a stop sign. Well a stupid drunk woman rear ended me. When she got out of the car she was slurring and forgot to put her car in park so her car Re rolled into the back of my van. I immediatly asked her if she had insurance and wrote down her plate and her car description and called 911. She kept getting into my face and I could smell the alcohol on her breath. I asked her if she was drunk and she said no. She told me that her pop bottle fell and she couldnt brake. Well after she backed her car up TWICE the cops showed up (15 mins after the call and the cop shop was only a block away) The cop asked her to get in the car and then a second officer arrived asked me if my passager and myself were ok I told them we thought we were ok but our necks hurt. YES OUR SEATBELTS WERE ON. The second officer came to get my insurance information told me immediatly that I am not at fault didnt ask for my license information or registration asked me what happened. I told him that she said the cause of the accident was a pop bottle I was then informed that no in wasnt a pop bottle it was in fact a BEER BOTTLE!!!!! She claimed she only had two drinks but failed her sobriaty test miserably. She was begging the cop not to arrest her. Well he did and then I went off to the ER. Well since she was in an accident they have to seek medical attention before she can go to jail. SHE WAS IN THE NEXT ROOM!!!! She was telling the officer that she wasnt impared and that she didnt do anything wrong. I was furious here I am in the hospital for minor whiplash and she is claiming she didnt do anything wrong. My car is smashed in pretty good. I am very thankful my son was not with me. When I was talking to the cops I told them she was lucky that I did not have him with me as they would be arresting me as well. I am sorry I have alcholics in my family and with the in laws. I have a VERY low tolerance for drunk drivers. In our state Drunk Drivers are responsible for a high percentage of the deaths that arnt by natural causes. This woman was in my face the whole time we were waiting for the cops offering me a cigarette to calm me down and shoving her insurance card in my face. Yes I am VERY grateful that she has insurance but what if she didnt then what. The car that I still owe $5000 on is smashed me and my friend both have whiplash. And she was pleading not to go to jail. I am going to be there are her court date. She was charged with DUI. I believe she will get wreckless driving as well. I feel bad but did end up calling her a b word. I called the cops and then called DH right after it happened. And when explaining it to DH i called her a stupid b-tch I am hurting cant get anything for pain firstly because I am breast feeding and secondly I have to see another dr before they will give me pain medicine for whiplash.

i feel really bad for calling her a bad name I HATE that word. I hate it being used around me or being called it. But I KNEW she was drunk the minute she got out of my car. DH called in to work and we both have till the 27th off from work ( I went back just for part time hours we need a little extra money) So he is helping me with the baby and everything. I am still worked up about it and it happened around 1 or 2.

This from the potty mouth queen (me, not you ) I can understand why you called her that. I would have probably have said much worse than you (as I said I am the potty mouth queen - not proud of it but it's a true statement). It was the heat of the moment and I wouldn't feel bad for calling her that. Okay it was at a stop sign and what if she had been going like hugely fast, you could have been more seriously injured if not killed because of her stupidity. I, like you, have a low tolerance for drunk drivers. I don't even drink (at all) because I just can't deal with alcoholics (I have it in my family as well as in laws too). I was wondering what happened to you since you haven't been here in a while (or I just haven't been posting in the same place as you) and I'm sorry it had to take place like this. I really hope you feel better soon and despite your new car (that sucks btw I'd be pretty ticked about that too) being damaged at least you weren't seriously injured as you could have been because of this stupid woman. And for her to plead with the cops? That's what sickens me about drunks, they always act like they are the victim... whatever....

How are you feeling today?

I'm so sorry this happened to you so close the holidays. I'm thankful that this woman has insurance, and you should be able to get your van fixed.

I'm an insurance adjsuter. If you need any help let me know. I would be glad to help you with your claim.

That would seriously **** me off.. I am a huge potty mouth too, and would looove it if that were me so I could give her a peice of my mind! Im glad your son wasnt there so he could whitness what happened... And as for whiplash, you can go on and sue her for what shes done to you and your friend. She deserves to be punished, I cant stand people who are drunk driving! They hurt too many people in life and they usually get away with just a broken leg or somthing very minor! Dont feel bad for calling her the "B" word! She deserves much worse!

So glad you are ok and that your son wasn't in the car when it happened. That really stinks and I would be really upset too. I hope she gets the full extent of the law - there is just NO excuse for driving drunk ever. s Hope your neck feels better soon hun and that everything works out with the car.

Default Drunk Drivers

I agree with you so much. I'm so glad that you are ok but I'm sorry that your van is messed up. I guess the two good things is that your son was not in the car and she had insurance. Our car was hit in the summer and the lady didn't have insurance so you know how that goes. I wish people who drink and drive would learn they are just hurting everyone else.
