i came across a deal too late not knowing it was a deal. I just happened to be going over my receipts and discovered this deal and needed only two more to complete the deal only to find it's over already!!! it was not a 'money maker' (depending on how you would do this deal tho i could have made it one) but it was sure enough good for something free!

That's happened to me, too. I bought a bunch of stationery stuff on clearance (good stocking stuffers ) and then when I got home, realized I could have used the $2/$10 CVS coupon.

Tell me about it. I had a CVS coupon, buy 2 boost get 1 free. Boost is expensive, but my husband needs it. So I picked out 3 boxes - was so happy because the boxes gave you a bonus 2 extra bottles - got home and I realized I didn't use the darn coupon. Acccckkkk.

ETA: Not exactly the same thing as what the OP was talking about, but same end result - missing out on the deal.

Beagles, if the coupon is still valid, I would take it back and explain to them what happened. My store is really good about doing a "return with no receipt" and the re-ringing it with the coupon/card.

I think we have all done the exact same thing.

All our good planning, then comes the check-out and we have so much going on in our brains, we forget to use the coupon.
