Question I have a question for women who have had their tubes tied

I had my tubes tied in 2006 and since then things have been weird. For a couple months after the surgery, it hurt to pee, then that went away. Then I didn't get my period for 3 months. Now for the past 6 months I have gotten my period twice a month. I got my tubes tied to help with cysts. I am still in a great deal of pain the week before my period because of my cysts. The only thing is, now that happens twice a month. I guess the question I am asking is, has anyone else that has had this done gotten their period twice a month like I am? My doc says it is fine, but I don't know if I should believe her. I really don't like her.

I got my tubes tied back in 2003 after my fifth child. I had the same problems. For about 2-3 months after having it done I did not have my period, then I had it twice a month for almost 6 months. Since then i have had it once a month but really bad. My periods use to last 3-5 days before I got my tubes tied, now It is 5-7 (usually 7 days) with no notice. It will get better. I have talked with several women in the same predicament, and have heard it will get better and it is normal.
