i just read an article and opps i think i have made a mistake
Okay ladies just a question about ovulation. With my last (successful) pregnancy and this time around, I have been using a salivascope to check for ovulation, giving me a good ferning pattern at that time. It is the rise in oestrogen. So I have always been under the impression that when I see ferns IT MEANS i AM O.
I just read an article that says quote "oestrogen goes up before the LH surge occurs", and if O happens 24-36 hrs after the LH surge occurs, then when I see the ferns on the scope I am not ACTUALLY OVULATING but about to O in the next day or so. Does that make sense to you? We have always really concentrated on when we see the ferns we are O so BD and make sure we do, but basically that says to me that it is going to happen not happening right then.
If this is correct, then our timing has been way out. What do you ladies think? Best wishes to you all and thank you for reading.
