I looked back at the old posts and couldn't find the answer i was looking for.
How long after you're done breastfeeding did your AF come back?
I stopped BF on February 2nd and was just wondering when to expect her to rear her ugly head again!
It all depends upon the woman. I exclusively BF Alejandro and AF cam back within 2mnths or so of having him. With Aiden the same...so I don't know how long after you stop BF it would come back.

I dunno cause I'm still BF'ing but I had 2 days of light spotting in early January and then a short & light AF in early Febuary. If I recall correctly I think I remember reading a month or two after you stop...but I'm not 100% sure.
I am not sure, as I am still bf'ing Tiffany. She is 13 months old. And I got af back when she was 11 months old to the day. But last cycle was the first time I o'd.
Everyone is different though. My friend exclusively bf her boy and she got af back at 6 months after she had him.
You should generally get your period one to four months after stopping breastfeeding (or significantly slowing down.) Fertility returns in stages though and for some women, their bodies take longer to get back into things. One to three months is normal for af to return.
I've been exclusively breastfeeding and AF came back today~well sort of. (heavier than spotting but not seeming like normal AF flow, so we'll see.) Day 51 since Gabe's birth. No BC of any kind other than having my tubes tied the day after he was born.
UPDATE( 3-30-08 ):
Well I spotted for 3 days when I thought that perhaps AF was showing her ugly face. Then she made her grand entrance on March 26th. Not sure if her visit was ever that strong before in my life!
Anyhoo, be happy if your AF doesn't show for an extended time after giving birth, BFing or not. I still exclusively breastfeed Gabriel and she came back full force.
I got AF back on monday which was about three months after slowing down on breastfeeding. I am actually kinda happy because this was a REAL AF normally mine arnt 'normal' they only were light spotting for three days this seems to be a real AF still going and its almost been a week. I am happy as DH and I have talked and we will not prevent another pregnancy and are willing to try again in May or June. We dont think we will be successful right away but im kinda hoping June will be a good month as it would give me a march due date! I wouldnt have to be all huge in the summer again but whatever happens right..
