I am sorry for your loss, we lost two great people in our lives 2 yrs ago between Halloween and Thanksgiving. One death was expected (cancer) and the other wasn't . It was so hard trying to explain it to my kids--ages 7 and 8 at the time, and to try and cope with our own pain. Unfortunately, there are no words to ease the pain, but keep the memories alive. Most importantly honor them by doing something special. Cry when you need to and laugh too. Try and put life into perspective and move on slowly. One corny thing someone had us do, was write a letter to the person who died and that seem to let go of alot of deep feelings/ good and bad. Of course you can keep it, burn it...whatever, but the point is to get all the feelings out. I wish you luck and join in at anytime....there are alot of us to talk to.
