I Lost My Niece 10 Days Ago
My niece was 34 years old when she passed away, her name is Dina. Since the age of 15, she has struggled with diabetes, which at times would get frustrated and would neglect taking care of herself. Then two years ago Dina was told she would be going to Dialysis for treatment on her kidneys. I had helped her cope with her treatment and helpied her with the anxiety and panic attacks, and months passed and she had came to terms to adjust to treatment three times a week. I had seen my niece health become weaker and how she would push herself to get through her days, even when she was ill and didn't have much strength to walk or do daily things she enjoyed. Dina had alot of courage and determination, she would cover up the pain and if she was feeling sick she would always keep a smile on her face, because she didn't want us to see the pain. I would bring her one day a week to spend the night with my family, we all loved having her around and she would call me daily to talk about family issues or just to have someone to talk to. Dina had one son and he had lived with his great grandmother, she as her pride and joy and she fought to stay alive for the sake of her son. Over the past two years, she was hospitalized for pneumonia and her immune system had became very weak, and she knew that her time was coming and she wasn't afraid to die. Dina was like a daughter to me and I loved her dearly, I had always been by her side for 31 years of her life. On Feb 25th, Dina would of been 32 years old, she died a day before her birthday the 24th. Everyday I wake up thinking about her and knowing she is not in pain anymore and she is at peace. I will always have her in memories and she was young at age and I loved her dearly. RIP LaDina.
