My favorite recipe is just plain old french bread.
4 c flour, 2 tbls olive oil, 2 tbls honey, 1 1/4 c water, 1 tsp salt, 3 tsp yeast
The bread maker mixes it, but I prefer to smell bread cooking. I always use the dough setting, then pull the dough out for a last knead and rise for 1/2 hour before baking in the oven at 350. I use a topping sometimes of 1 egg white diluted with 2 tbls water, 1 tsp salt. I brush it on before the last rise and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then just before baking I brush it on again. You need to use a light vegetable spray on the baking sheet or bread pan or the mixture will stick.

I started going to garage sales with my friend, and one of the most common items I'd find is a bread machine! I finally broke down and bought a brand new one ($5.00) figuring if I hated it, it wouldn't be much of a loss. I love it! I use it all the time. Mine won't be at a garage sale any time soon.

I LOVE my bread maker too. I also love experimenting. I made some cinnamon walnut bread a while back. I've also made some sour cream blueberry bread. But my all time favorite is zucchini bread. yum!

We like zucchini bread also. I don't use my bread maker for it though. I do it right in the oven. That and pumpkin bread. We just mix and bake.

Okay soo sorta funny story...Yep I did have a bread maker that I loved...We got it for nothing from a friend who found it at a yard sale but didn't use it and the only thing wrong with it was the lid was cracked and loose... But it worked beautifully... Used it all the time!!!...But...alas... last year when we were moving, the bread maker was tucked into the back of the pickup truck and well... the loose lid sort of blew off somewhere along the highway, never to be seen again!!! So too make a long story short had one, don't now, wanna get another!!!

I understand! I think Dh tossed my mixer portion of my bread maker...now its useless...but my birthday is coming up and huess what I want
