Default I need birthday party ideas

We have decided to have Ellas 3rd birthday and Kalens 1st birthday parties together on the same day. Their birthdays are 15 days apart so we're doing it the weekend in between....October 25th.

The theme is going to be Halloween. Kalens cake will be a pumpkin and Ella wants a princess cake.

I alread have pin the eye patch on the pirate from a previous party that we are goign to use. I also ordered jack-o-lantern cups and balloons for all the kids...i think we'll have about 12 kids if everyone comes. I also ordered foam pumpkin decorating kits for each of the kids.

Can anyone come up with any more fun ideas to do? I would love to have this as an annual party for all our friends kids and our nieces and nephews to come to and want it to be really fun.
The kids will all be ages between baby and 6 years old.

Thanks for any ideas and suggestions you have!

im going to be stealing ideas from u too! We are doing our girls bday together as well (they r 13 days apart as far as their bdays) and we are planning it for Nov. 1 (weekend in btwn!) So its the day after halloween.

Bobbing for apples will be fun for the older end of the kids (and adults!) even for the smaller ones reaching into water with a net for the apples is fun!

Lots of monster music (monster mash, Adams family, etc)

thats all i have right now

is there anyway you could do a hayride? or maybe have stuff to make scarecrows? you could even do a maze for the little ones, making it out of haybales...i'm trying to think of the things that our local nursery does for the kids during the fall...i know they have like mini pumpkins and have the kids use markers to decorate them...a pinata maybe? good luck!

Hee-hee. Depending on where you live, you could get those jack-o-lantern leaf bags and have teams of kids to see who can stuff the largest bag.... (And it cleans up your yard at the same time....) hee-hee

Thats a great idea, if we have any trees that shed thier leaves....we have all cedar trees and one big wierd tree that doesn't drop leaves....but great, fun idea!

Defintely going to do this! it will be less messy and wet wit the nets! great idea!

My nephews bday is around Halloween. Every year my sister buys a bunch of pumpkins (1 for each person there) and gets some hay bales. She makes a mini pumpkin patch in her backyard....then lines the kids up smallest to tallest and 3 kids at a time go in the backyard and pick their perfect pumpkin. Once everyone has their pumpkin the kids paint or carve (depending on age...most carve w/ help of their parents). Once all the pumpkins are carved she puts little candles in them, and lights them up and everyone sings my nephew happy birthday then. Of course there is cake too. She makes a big pot of chili (cheap), and has other snacky foods around too, and hot dogs for the kids...
She also has the kids dress up in their Halloween costumes too. She doesn't hand out the typical goodie bags..the kids get to take home their prized carved pumpkins as their bday goodie.
This has become a huge tradition and each year it gets bigger and bigger...even though it is my nephews bday party, it has become a tradition now, and more people bring their kids, grandkids, etc...my nephew doesnt mind cuz he gets spoiled by gifts.
She asks people to bring their own pumpkin carvers though...use to supply but now way too big!

- I was just looking out at my yard thinking I need a bunch of kids to come here in the fall to clean up all the leaves that are shed. We have TONS of leaves, I would be willing to send em to your house this year...

You could frost cupcakes orange and have candy corn, or m&m's or some other smallish candy to decorate their mini pumpkins. Then they get to gobble them down!
