Default I need help with my Furniture Protection Plan Request form

I have a Guardsman (Gold in Home) protection plan on my microfiber sofa. It says it covers all "household" stains. Anyone know what that means?
We had put flea protection on our dog. He's not allowed on the couch, but goes on there at night when we're asleep. (We always keep a sheet on the couch, and whenever we put flea protection on him we lay blankets all over the couch. Of course, there was one small spot not covered and he found it! In the morning there was a big, oily stain from the flea protection.
Now I have to fill out a service request form, and I know I have to be careful with my wording. I don't know if this type of stain is covered. They don't tell you on the phone. I did already mention on the phone that it's from frontline, but didn't mention how it got on the couch. I'd appreciate any advice/experience. Thanks!

My guess is it shouldn't matter how it got on the couch, short of outright deliberate fraud to get the couch cleaned. Maybe you spilled it. If your dog bit you and you sat down on the couch and bled on it, and couldn't get the bloodstain out, would it matter how the couch got stained?

Thanks for your response. I know what seems fair, but after doing a yahoo search, I read many experiences others have had where they were not taken care of because of so many things not being covered.
