I was just playing around with names and Dh and I both agreed on it. Wow. I am not even preggie yet but I am so in love with this name right now. We all know that could change but I can so see myself using it. I love unique names. I know that my family will be like WTF and that DH's bio mom will be like why couldnt you name her something normal. But I love it.
How is that not a normal name? Listen, it's not like the one girl I knew named Heaven Lea Gate. (Gate was the last name.) Skya is a great name! And I love Rae -- I always liked it, but it didn't strike a cord with my DH.
his mom didnt like Nevaeh or McKenna she wants something like her daughters are named. Her daughters are Britney and Cassandra. Now she has suggested Sara, Alicia or Racheal. I dont mind those names but they dont suit me. I know one of each of those names at least and I like them but no offense to anyone else. I dont want my child named something like that. I guess Im trying to find a name that my child wont have to ask the substitute teacher 'which one' when they are calling attendance.
I like it too! At first I was unsure... but I do like it! And I'm with you on the Sara, Alicia Rachael etc. They're lovely names, but I don't really see myself using them. Glad you have something that you like! Now come on bfp!!!

You tell her the same thing my DH told my MIL when she started voicing ideas: "You already named your children, these are our children." End of conversation. It also meant we didn't share Amber's name with her until the day she was born!
I love the name! When we were going over names for our children, I was lucky that our parents didn't have any suggestions (or if they did, they kept them to themselves). I also had to share a name I heard this week-end - the boy's name is Blake Trout (Trout is last name, not sure of middle name). Yikes!
