This is a story that really makes me wonder about things.
Seems this guy, a bricklayer, was walking into the USA for work to send money home to his 4 children, and help support his girlfriend's three children. Along the path, inside the USA, he saw a terrible car accident. The mom was dead and the boy was injured. He stayed with the boy until rescue came. Without him, the boy might have died from exposure, fright, shock.
He had to go back to Mexico, but they are working on a temporary visa for him to come and get some recognition for heroism.
Now, when I look at how things are, I see a lot of men who do not work, do not support women and families, do not support children. But we're stuck with them, because they were born here.
We could use more guys like this who take care of their families and have compassion for children, take risks to take care of them.
Wonder why we can't make it easier for someone like this to come legally, instead of paying hustlers to smuggle people over the border and fuel drug traffic and terrorism with the money.
This is the kind of person we want here.
