Default I'm not cut out for a stay at home mom

I was sick today. Well, this morning really. If I knew I'd start feeling better before 11:00, I would have went to work today.

Because I was home, I kept Conner home too. This morning I really was sick & didn't have it in me to drive him anywhere anyway...and generally, he's a good baby and I can take care of him even when I'm sick.

Not today. He was into everything, and while I was cleaning one mess he was getting into something else. At one point he climbed up on something & grabbed a glass vase & smashed it on the floor. My house has an open floor plan, so there was no easy way to keep him away from the disaster zone while I tried to clean it up.

It was just a pain.

I know what you mean! It seems like whenever I am sick, my usually good baby decides to be a nightmare! I guess my bad mood rubs off on her? Who knows...

Anyways, i hope you get to feeling better soon.

When you are sick, if you can take him to daycare - do it. You're sick. There's no way that you can be running after him and get the rest you need.

Katelyn is always a pain when I am sick and I am a sahm so I know when she's being unusally difficult. I really think they pick up on how we're feeling and it rubs off on to them. Although no matter how calm I am she's never actually calm.

Wish you could have taken him to DC and gotten some rest yourself.

Hoping you do not have that nasty flu bug.

I hope you feel better soon. It is rough when you aren't feeling good and you have kids to take care of. Try to get as much rest as possible.
