The other day I reached to pick my purse up off the floor & couldn't stand up. The rest of the day, my back KILLED me. I slept on a heating pad, & the next morning I was ok, but throughout the day the pain returned & got progressively worse until I finally went to the dr. He said I strained it & prescribed vicoden. He said it would probably hurt for a week, but to call him if it was still bothering me in FOUR weeks.
The first night it was fun. I admit, I've never taken anything like vicoden before, & I really enjoyed myself last night

But...it's gotten old already. I spent the day doing my thing, and my back was fine. While cooking dinner, however, it starting killing me again...to the point where walking was almost bringing tears to my eyes. I have two vicoden in me, and I can still feel the pain pretty intensely (of course, not at the level before, I can at least walk now).
Is it normal for the dr to simply give a script like that & tell you to wait FOUR weeks? He was only with me 3 minutes...no xray or anything. I'm terrified of having a condition like this forever...I can see why people cannot walk due to something as simple as back pain. It really is debilitating-and I've only "suffered" for 3 days now.
