Many of you will remember that I had posted about some spotting I was having. The ob ended up doing a culture and they found out I had a vaginal infection. They gave me an antibiotic gel to use um down there (tmi). I started using it two days ago because I was having more spotting. i just wanted to know if anyone has had this and if they went on to have a normal pregnancy? Also, (TMI warning) I've started to notice that sometimes when I pee there is tissue in the toilet. Is this normal or should I call the ob? My next appt is November 8.

what do mean by tissue?

Could it be dicharge? i know i pass discharge when i pee and my OB said its normal as long as it is white and it does look a bt like tissue.
As for the infection if your not happy with the cream why can't your doc give you antibiotics at least then you know it will clear inside and out!
If your worried go back to the doc, but don't worry everything seems normal to me but not worth you stressing over, Take care.xxxx

If it looks like "clots", forget calling go to the ER.... if it looks like little white clumps I'd bet on it being disharge and you should worry unless it becomes watery.... And get regular antibiotics.

I would definatly check with your ob and make sure everything is fine.

Totally agreed... if it's whitish (or even yellowish considering you know you have an infection) it's probably discharge. TMI, but I get this every time I get a yeast infection, and I unfortunately get them fairly frequently while pg. I'd be willing to bet it's completely normal, just doublecheck with your OB to be sure!

Thanks girls! It's looks like tissue, but its just discharge. I am going to call my ob Monday just to let them know. I am not going to ask for pills just because I only have two more days of the gel and then I am done. I went in Thursday morning because I was spotting and she told me that is was the infection and not to worry unless I start bleeding like a period. We heard the babies heartbeat and it was 156. So far all is well. I just worry about the gel hurting the baby because it does pass through the placenta but my ob said it would not hurt the baby.
