i'm trying to start TT Gabby but she insists on wearing a nappy... i'm just not sure if she is ready or if i just need to break the nappy habit... she wakes up dry (most mornings) she can tell me that she does need to go, but she wont use the potty or toilet... i can have her sitting on the potty for a while and 2 minutes after i take her off she wets herself... my cousin was just here with her 2 yr old (which is also being tt) and while they here Gabby was fine to wear undies but the moment they left she wanted the nappy on

i would just let her wear the nappy, but keep asking her if she wants to use the potty. fighting with her will delay the process more

she now is happy to wear undies (yesterday i just gave her the choice everytime i change her, eventually she insisted on undies... i told her she isn't to go to toilet in the nappy either) but she still wants a nappy on when she needs to go, she will sit on the potty but just holds it til either she has an accident or has a nappy on... i have heard, on more than one occasion, where the child go to toilet fine for wees but insist on a nappy for poops from what i gather the parents just encouraged the use of the toilet but allowed the nappy when the child insisted and eventually the child decided to use the toilet, but i just don't know if this is the same for wees... she did manage a wee on the potty last night, DH was playing with her and called me that she had wet (men they can't deal with these problems on their own) so when i went out i notice she was only wet so i figured she might have felt herself going and stopped, so i put her straight on the potty and she finished in there
