Default Limit 10

Does anyone have a good handle on this new limit 10 ECB thing? I'm plotting for this week and need as much detail as you can provide since I have lots going on with my two cards.
Thanks!!

Default Is this correct?

Here is my understanding from reading a lot of posts....let me know is this is correct...
The system is set up to limit the number of current ECBs to 10. Once you have 10 in hand, it shouldn't print any more until you use some. However, that is NOT happening instead the computer will print instantly any that you earn but when number 11 is activated, the oldest ECB you have is pushed off the back end and "deactivated". When you go to use it, the computer will say that the ECB does not match the card.
The rule is you can only have 10 active at one time, regardless of whether it was generated before or after April 1. Also once it is "pushed off" your account it is gone even if your total number of active ECBs falls below 10.

TIA

Why do you think that is true? I don't remember reading or experiencing that.

Yes, I agree with ingosgirl - that last sentence is wrong. It's not gone forever. If you drop below the limit again, the older ones reactivate (at least, that was the case with the 30-limit). Besides, if you've got the EB in hand, many cashiers will push it through, even with the error (and if they won't, call CS & they will instruct them to). I've always been against doing that, but with the current changes, I'm not so much against it anymore. Even if they "clog up" your account with 10 in the pipeline (or however you want to say it), your instant ones will still print, so I say: clog away! I don't care!

I can't clog away until I get my account settled with the older ECBs. For anyone with the old ones still waiting to be print or re-set, it's still best to keep the pipeline open imo or the older ones won't print. Am I thinking clearly?

I agree, I had called to have some reset and the CSR didn't do as I requested and ended up resetting 13 of them all at once....big backlog and nightmare that even the posts on here wouldn't fix. Unfortuantely they are all large ones and my store will not take printed ecb's so none of the fixes worked for me. They have now expired again - without ever printing. I have been avoiding using this card until these can be printed and used. I don't know how the new system will affect the old ecb's but until they print I want a clean pipeline. Then I agree, clog away, who cares as long as they print and can be used.
