My kids would never drink Pedialyte either. But can I ask why you are giving her that if she only has a cold? Isn't Pedialyte for preventing dehydration when they have a stomach bug?
We used to give them Propel instead. My doctor said it was okay because it had electrolytes in it similar to Pedialyte to help with the dehydration.

As long as she is not vomiting or doesn't have diarrhea she can pretty much have anything. It is important to push fluids. It helps with getting all that yucky drainage off of there throats and keeps them hydrated. When kids are sick they tend to not eat or drink like they should. They need calories and fluids to give them the energy to get better and to help hydrate them. Popsicles is what I use for Ellamae when she has a cold. Think about all the foods and fluids you like when your sick. Cold popsicles or warm soup can soothe a sore throat. I have been told that "no milk with a cold" is a myth. Milk does not usually need to be eliminated with colds, unless allergies are being suspected. Good luck and I hope she feels better soon.

Yep. Try Gatoraide or the like. Kenzie likes the Pedilyte pops. But not the drink.

Did you try the flavor pedilyte or the regular? James wasn't sure about the plan but loved the flavored when I gave it to him.

Definitely doesn't need them unless she's having diharrea or vomiting. But, they do sell them in freezer pops now... If she won't take them, then just give her as much juice as she'll drink. Also, V8 VFusion is good, if you dilute it by half (sometimes, when their tummies are upset, full-blown will make it worse). Also, Walgreens makes a drink that is simliar with different flavors. Try that...

i dont think i was able to get izzy to drink it either. We just bought her gatorade. i know it's not the best, but its better than nothing! plus there's so many versions of it now, i think the g2 or the rain are "healthier" -- but i could be wrong in that.

The only time i've ever stopped milk used the UK version of pedialyte was when Luke had rota virus. For colds I just offer plenty of fluids.

She actually was vomiting...from all the mucus. Seems she can't tolerate coughing and threw up almost every time. I was trying to prevent her from getting dehydrated.
Turns out she loves ice pops so I managed to get her to eat a few. She is finally feeling a bit better today.
