Is it just me?
Yesterday we had an emergency Fish Tank problem and the children and I needed to rush to the pet store and get some important supplies.
As we were walking to the check stand the kids wanted to look at some of the pets. The Birds were singing so we went over to look at them and Makala my almost 8-year old read this sign:
We have a Rare Parakeet Up For Adoption $100.00
I don't know maybe I am making too much over it but that sign really annoyed me on so Many levels.... I do not think I will go back to that major chain it just bugs me how the term adoption is tossed around.
The Funny part was that Makala could read the sign and her response was:
"Mommy, there are not any Bird Moms or Dads that have money to adopt the baby bird!"
