Wink Is it time?

I was talking to dh this morning about Mia Camille saying that it would be time that she went into a big bed and to get rid of the soother which she just loves, he's saying that our 2 oldest we're in the crib till 3 which is WRONG lol. I just can't remember when they did but i'm pretty sure that it was around 2. Mia Camille will be 2 in exactly one month. When did you guys change beds and get rid of the soother?

Never used a bobo and they moved into their big beds when they were ready which was some point between 2 and 3 1/2.

Vinnie was 13 months when he went into a toddler bed... His room has hard flooring and one morning I caught him halfway out and went into a panic. That night he had his bed... never had any problems in it. I think whenever she is ready, you'll know.

I think every child is different. We moved Riley to a twin bed at 16 months and he had no problems. We found he did better in the bed actually. I think its up to you but 2 is old enough to try.

We changed Charlie from a crib to a toddler bed a few months ago. He still won't nap in it. But will sleep on the overnight in it. When are able to get him a twin size bed frame we'll get the same mattress as we just bought for his older brothers. Right now he's too short to climb into their beds.
We were given a set of twin beds than can stand alone or become bunk beds a few years back. Ridley was about 15 months and we put him in th ebottom bunk and he's slept better than the toddler bed. He wanted out of the crib as soon as we put him into his brother's room to sleep instead of ours. So at about 10 months old he was in a toddler bed. Noah was around 18 months when we moved him to a toddler bed from a crib. I'm sure Charlie will get a twin bed aroudn Easter time as we will need the crib for the new baby which will be growing out of the bassinet at that point. Our crib is a 4 in 1 thing that becomes a crib, a toddler bed, a transition bed and a day bed. We only ever use it as a crib or toddler bed. And the new baby will be #3 to use it!

I would say to go ahead and change the bed whenever you are ready because in the first week of a new bed will be the hardest in most cases. This is when the most adjustment is made.

My kids never liked any kind of soother, so I didn't have an issue there. My middle child at 2-1/2 still sucks her thumb, but she limits it to naps and night time. Both of my two older kids went into a big bed at twoish or shortly before, although the 2-1/2 year old still migrates back into our bed once in a while. (My youngest is just 13 months and in a crib.)
