Default Is it time for pull ups?

My daughter is 2 y/o and has been going to the potty for a few months now. ( not consistantly ). I have to change her diaper maybe 2 x a day. Tonight I think she made some progress and went poop in the potty. Should I change her to Pull ups?

Not unless you want to waist a large amount of money!!! Buy training underwear instead. If it bothers you that you might have pee on the floor--buy the kind with vinyl covers. Reserve pull ups for when she's not ready at night.

I never used pull-ups either. I think it confuses the child and its easier and takes less time to train them if you go straight to normal underwear. If they are ready it only takes a week at most to train them.

We only use pullups at night because they give the security while he's asleep, but he can run in and pull them down himself if he decides to go. But I agree, they feel like diapers, kind of confusing during the day. They might think it's ok to just go in them, instead of feel the independance of pulling down their own pants.

We used pullups at night otherwise we would be allowing our children to get nappy rash, during the day we used wet feel pullups so everything was contained but they could feel all the wee when it happened. I think for a lot of children the horrible feeling is one of the main incentives to use the toilet.
