Default Isaiah and Avigail make their debut....

So I woke up on Saturday feeling like I was going to burst if these babies didn't come out soon, but at the same time panicking because my husband Jeff and I hadn't yet agreed on a new name for them. (posted a thread about name stealing )
I got up with the kids but had like zero energy and my DH told me to just go back to bed and that he would spend the day with the children. I felt guilty because I had promised to take them swimming today and I knew that DH couldn't do it on his own. (4 children to one adult is probably not up to safety code!)

So I went back to bed and tried to sleep, but it was like my brain was spinning at a million miles a minute. I couldn't relax and all I could think about was the fact that I needed to find names right now!
So I spent the day on the computer, searching every baby naming site I could find and finally came up with a list of names that would be acceptable.
After the children went to bed I handed the list over to DH and he (typically) crossed off at least half the boys and girls names on there.
So I was down to like 3 girls names and 4 boys names and I felt so overwhelmed. My DH went to bed, but I just couldn't get the whole name thing out of my head.

Meanwhile I had been having killer Braxton hicks since around 10 o'clock at night and I finally noticed that they were increasing in length and decreasing in distance apart.
I didn't think much of it until I went to the bathroom to pee and before I could make it I peed myself. I was thoroughly embarrassed. (even after 4 kids the idea of wetting myself is not one I appreciate) and I had to call DH because I couldn't bend over to clean it up.
Well I was pretty much in tears and he told me to calm down, that he was happy to clean it up, and that I should go lay down. I did, even though my mind was racing and my legs seemed really restless.
Well he comes into the room with a strange look on his face. He said that he didn't think I had peed myself and that it might have been my water breaking. I laughed and said no way, but DH wanted me to call the doctor anyways.
I reluctantly did and the doctor recommended doing a 'sniff test' and so I did.... low and behold.... no urine smell.

He told us he would meet us at the hospital, but we told him that my DH had to drop the kids off at grandma's house and then take me to the hospital and he said that was fine.
So I kissed my sleepy children goodbye and packed them into the car.
Waiting for DH to come back, I started to notice that the contractions were coming on heavier and I realized that I really didn't have names.... it was like I had OCD and I just had to have a name before I could go to the hospital.
I looked through my list of possibilities and the names Isaiah and Avigail just popped out at me.

Finally we went to the hospital, it was about 5 am now and I was getting tired. They finally got me into a room and I tried to relax while the contractions where still mild.
It didn't last long. It was like the babies saw the finish line and began to sprint. I went from 5 cm to 10 cm in 45 minutes and was pushing before I knew it.
It seemed like I was only pushing for a few minutes before Isaiah came screaming into the world. Avigail was a little different.
My body and mind were so used to having just one child that i wanted to just lay back and enjoy him and here was the doctor telling me I had to push because she was coming down. I just looked at him like he was mad, but then my body took over.
Avigail came 7 minutes later screaming just as loudly as her brother.

Both were healthy, passing their apgar tests with flying colors. The doctor was really impressed with their weights. Avigail out weighs her brother at 7.0 to his 6.5.... but I am confident he will catch up quickly! lol!
Well I was keen to have them latch on as soon as possible and the nurse made it happen. They latched perfectly and then fell asleep like little angels.

My water broke at 4 am and I delivered the last baby at 12:05 so just 8 hours of labor and delivery..... sure beat the 36 hours with Nava, 24 hours with Gabriel, 18 hours with Shiloh and 12 hours with Judah..... next time maybe it will just be 5 hours.... we can hope!

I had an all natural, pain meds free delivery with the twins, same as I have had for all 4 of my previous children, and I have to say that in terms of pain it was about the same, way less then I expected it to be.... I was thinking that if it was twins I should double the pain of a single.... I wasn't sad to be wrong!

Welcome to the world Isaiah Immanuel and Avigail Aaliyah Mommy loves you both more then you could ever know.

Thanks for all your comments! I am kinda partial to the children as well!
We are all home from the hospital, got discharged at 8 am and Jeff took us home before going to pick up the children from the various grandmother's houses.
They were so excited to meet their new babies, well most of them anyways.

Gabriel my three year old isn't so convinced, which surprises me because he was the most laid back of the bunch when it came to adding knew sibblings. Now he just stands in the corner, won't touch them, won't really look at them. And so far today he has wet his pants three times. I am just going to be patient with him, let him go at his own pace. As long as he don't show any aggression then I think he will learn to love them.

Judah (the one I was worried about) loves them! All he wants to do is lay down beside them and kiss them and touch them. His fingers aren't too gentle, but I am so happy that he has taken to them so well.

Nava has become a budding mother hen, this is the first babies that she has decided they were her own, especially Avigail. There is only one thing, she told me that she was going to call Avigail, Mary no matter what her new cousins name was. I told her that was fine, but if ever Avigail says she doesn't want to be called Mary then Nava would have to stop. Nava has claimed Avigail as her own, and I am okay with that, it means that the older child is going to take an interest in the youngest child and that is awesome in my opinion

Me? I love them, seriously could just squeeze them.... but then I am like that with all of my children! They sleep, alot! I wake them up to feed at the same time and while I feed one, my DH changes the other one so that they are on the same schedule. I am hoping that this will work out well. I remember when Judah was born he had his nights and days mixed up for 8 weeks and I barely slept at all! As long as they don't do that, I am okay with anything else they throw at me!
