Angry It's NOT fair!!

Nevaeh is almost 14 months old and is STILL toothless!! Her cousin is 6 months old and has 4 teeth!! It's not FAIR!! I am so sick of people gasping in shock when they notice she doesnt have teeth! Then they ask "well whats wrong with her? Why didnt they come in?" Do I look like a freaking dentist!! errrr...

For about 3 weeks now you can see a little white tooth right under her gum. It looks like its going to pop through any day but its been like that for 3 weeks and STILL wont come through! My poor baby I feel so bad for her b/c I know it hurts her. She has been chewing on everything! She even started to try and bite me ! I just wish her teeth would come in and everyone would leave her alone!

Ok sorry that sorta turned into a vent

don't stress it, I know it's hard but it actually is good, it means she will keep her teeth till later in childhood and hopefully have less dental issues, lets face it she's a cutie with or without teeth and you know their coming so ignore the knockers, cos unless their dentists, well, what do they know?

Love those gummy smiles - they are adorable.

Her teeth will arrive when they are supposed to and not a day before.

Enjoy her little smiles right now because you'll never see them again.

My dd (who is now 12yo and has since lost most of her baby teeth...) got her teeth later than alot of her peers did too...but then she rolled, sat, crawled and walked before them.....my friends used to joke about how their kids were duds with teeth!!! But, sure enough her teeth came in when they were good and ready..hang in there...like Lindsay said just wait...when they come she'll be chomping on everything!!!

Thanks ladies!

I just feel so bad for her. I know she is in pain and I can only wonder how much longer it will be until they finally come through. My poor baby....

Have you tried giving her a frozen facecloth to chewing on or a frozen bagel (just have to watch for small pieces...but basically goes to mush)..My kids loved stuff like that when they were teething...(and old enough to have the bagel!!)...frozen fries were a fave too...and they do go very mushy but still have to keep an eye...Might give her sore gums some relief w/o having to use medication..

Something that helped Emma is soaking a washcloth in some decaf chamomile tea, freezing it, and then letting her chew on it... It tastes good and the chamomile has healing properties...

with Gabby's first molar you could see the whole front half of the tooth and it was like that for a whole month until it finally broke through, she had the same thing with one of her front teeth but i can't remember how long before it broke (i think it was 2-3 weeks)... i know it's hard to see them in pain but it will come through, she might be like Gabby who pops one after another then stops for a while
