Default It’s Time to Quit: Let’s Get Together

Hey there, my name is Heather Long and I'm a senior blogger here at Families.com. I'm also a smoker. I want to change that. Please join me on my journey to become a non-smoker -- you can check out my blogs and I'd love to hear from you about it.
Are you ready to become a non-smoker?

I quit!! It has been one week today. I'm very proud of myself, it has been tough, and I have had a few not so proud moments.

Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking! I quit over 2 years ago cold turkey. It's not easy, but it's possible. Stay strong and do whatever it takes. For me, it was hard candy. Everyone is different though...you need to find your own vice that works for you.

Lots of luck!!!!

I just wanted to come by and say congrats on your decision to quit and on hitting your non-smoking milestones. I quit in December 2005. Sometimes it gets really hard, but I've managed.

I quit on May 25, 2003 after my Cardiologist scared the living daylights out of me and I dont scare easily . He told me if I continued to smoke he would be doing a Triple Bypass on me and I probably wouldnt make this was one of the best things anyone ever said to me it saved my life . I too went cold turkey and it wasnt easy and sometimes its still hard but you have to do what you have to whatever it is to stay smoke free. Sometimes taking it a Day at a Time, Minute at a Time. Second at a Time etc. I would like to congraduate all of you for being smoke free .
