It was one of those things that happened so fast that I didn’t have time to process it all. I honestly could not believe the nerve of him. It wasn't until I got home and was unloading the groceries that I realized I should have raised a big ruckus.

Oh, and he didn't actually get the container out of Erin's hands...she is quite the feisty one. She held on for dear life and gave him quiet the ugly look.

Now, the woman in the check out line….she nearly got smacked.

My Gosh!!! I would have been in shock!! and if I got a chance to recover from the shock I would have flipped out & probably start yelling something although I must say I wouldn't be able to come up with the right words...My dd would probably yell at him before I get the chance. That man pisses me off.

The woman touching has happend to me too and I don't handle those things well either. I just get this sick feeling in my tummy and try to get through it, hold her as close as possible (hoping the lady gets the hint) and wash my baby as soon as possible

The girls at my local grocery store come up and fawn over my dd all the time. (the workers) I don't much mind it, because I've been going to this same store for years and these ladies are really sweet.

I guess I don't mind it as much. But I am not afraid of germs! (puffs out chest with Supergirl logo on it) hehehe

Now what I do mind, are old men who try to give her candy. Alyssa go maaaad at me the other day, because I took the candy away from her.

Now my great grandfather was like that. He always had candy for people. But that was my grampy.....these are strange guys. It isn't like the old days anymore.

Was the woman Hispanic? My husband explained to me that they have a superstition that if they see a baby they HAVE to touch them and comment on them or else they will give the baby ojos, or the evil eye. I've learned to tolerate it but keep it limited. Some of them actually come out and say, "Sorry, I don't want to give her ojos."

I never heard of this, but when I was growing up, Cuban grandmas were always very affectionate. What country is your husband's heritage?

My husband is Mexican, but he has his citizenship. We live in Corpus, so it's full of Hispanics and Mexicans. I guess I should limit the superstition to Mexicans.

I had a Mexican or hispanic or Latino (not sure which, sorry) woman tell me this when I was pregnant. She had to touch my stomach.

Hispanic, latino what ever she wouldn't be touching my stomach! strangley enough Ellison has really chubby cheeks and old ladies really love touching them, which ticks me off!so I generally keep he rin her pram with the hood up so she can't be seen, the other problem is I dress her up all the time so she looks , apparently , like a baby girl should and that brings the old ladie srunning( dress, nappy cover, socks , booties andbonnet)
