Well, I went to my ob appointment on Monday, the 29th and I was told that they thought the baby was too big for my pelvis.......I wasn't too sure I beleived them, I thought that they may be just telling me that to get me to agree to the C-section instead of vbac. But, luckily I decided to just go get the section done. So on Wednesday morning at 9:01 am Jessica Noelle was born via C-section, weighing in at a chubby 9 lb. 1 oz.
She was only 18.5 inches long. (although when we went to her dr. appt. today at 6 days old she was 19.5 and I doubt that she grew 1 inch in 6 days!!!!)
The surgery was a success. It was sooooooo weird to lay there and carry on a conversation with my dh while they were doing the surgery. We just kinda sat and talked till they actually got her out.....then he took pics of her, while I waited to see her. I got to kiss her precious face and see her....then they took her to the nursery with her daddy to get a bath and all that. He went to watch over her to make sure no one gave her formula. I spent an hour in recovery bored to death!!!! I was wide awake, felt great and was too excited to sleep or anything!!!!!! I didn't get sick from the spinal (was nervous that I would get sick from it)
I got to my room and dh managed to get the baby away from the nursery and bring her to meet me and get me nursing her right away.
Things really really went well, so much better than Tiffany's birth.
Here are some pics of the chub!!!!
