jinxed by baby clothes
Ok, so I am going to a baby shower in 3 weeks, they are having a baby girl. My friend is being induced tomorrow with her baby boy. So, what is a good friend to do but go baby clothes shopping for them! (Baby clothes shopping is like the greatest thing in the world) I was looking at the clearance rack for onsies when I spot the cutest Carter's bibs! They are green with a giraffe and little bear on them and one of them says "I love mommy"! Absolutely adorable! They were 70 % off and cost $4.00. I bought them with the intention to give them to a friend, but I really want to keep them! They are gender neutral and just too cute. Do you think you jinx yourself by buying baby clothes before you are preggo? My SIL told me that a few years ago. On impulse DH and I bought a onsie the said "Future Validictorian"! She has told me several times the reason I am not preggo is because I bought the baby onsies. Do you think I will curse myself even more if I keep the super cute bibs?

That's just a silly notion!
Good luck with your future little darling!

I'll think you'll be fine keeping them.

Keep it if it makes you happy, i know plenty of people who bought or got baby stuff before they we're pregnant and it didn't matter they got pregnant anyways..Have faith!

do not be silly, just keep it if you want. There is no way it could have any impact on your TTC.
good luck!

Thanks girls! I know it is a stupid comment SIL made, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. I did end up keeping the bibs! They were super cute! Hopefully I will be using them soon!

My sister gets angry with people if they buy baby things before they're three months along! When her friend bought baby things she's like "ARE YOU THREE MONTHS?!" When I bought pregnancy books she insisted I was jinxing it.
