I have a Jumperoo and Charlie preferred it to his Exersacuer. He has just recently outgrown them both. (He's geting too tall for them.) I had an exersaucer for all my boys. I had one of those hang-in-the-doorway jumpers and Noah hated it. So did I. It was such a pain to put up. I've never had a walker for any of my kids. My youngest sister took a bad spill at 9 months old in one. She managed to open the cellar door and fell down the steps landing on the concrete floor. Cracked both sides of her skull and was kept overnight for observation but no long-term injury. I was 10 at the time and I vowed then and there that I would never have my kids in a walker.
I haven't done any recent research but there are very few baby products out there that actually promote proper posture for learning to walk.
I think you should try some out at the stores-if possible-and get what your baby prefers to play in. I really like the Exersaucer (I miss the one I was given for Noah. It had no attached toys, just a plain tray. I got rid of it after Ridley was done using and had ot get another one for Charlie. That one has about half dozen build in toys.) but Charlie really enjoyed his Jumperoo much more.

My son loved his. We gave it to him last year when he was four months, but he outgrew it before long. We are going to pull it out for our next baby, though. The only drawback for us was that he wore out pretty quickly, PLUS he seemed to have the worst diaper blow-outs in it. In fact, we call it the JumperPOO around our house. Pretty nasty, but that seat sure is easy to pull out and throw in the wash.

Got one off the side of the road someone was throwing away in mint condition! Riley loved it and used it for many months until he became mobile and didn't want to be restarined by anymore. I'm glad we got it for free but I would have paid for it ....I recommend it!

Hated it. Out of 5 kids not a single one of mine liked it at all. --my husband was the one that bought it bc he thought it looked like so much fun. My oldest daughter to the day doesn't like things like that and my other kids were too mobile too early to want to be retrained. But I will say I'm the only person I know out of all my friends that didn't get good use out of theirs. Go figure!

Landon is still using his Loves it!!! HE likes to poop in his too.. that and the exersaucer.. If ever I feel it's been to long Ijust pop him in one of those

twinzplus3 - Bummer that none of your kids like it.. Figures right, you get something they can pass down and no one will use it...

The only bad thing I can say about ours is I feel like it has a wide base to it.. We put it where our swing was and this takes up much more room I think!! You have to have space for it!
