So ive been off and on these boards over the last few months, just traing to gain strength and knowledge with this process. I am SO thankful to all your words of encouragement and knowledge!
After a few months of trying, with no success. We were completely expecting it to take a while, May was going to be our last shot until next year. When we could save up more money to continue to pay for the preperations, the actual insemination, and everything that goes along with it! We have been doing two inseminations each cycle just to try and get it right, since frozen sperm only lasts about 15 hours inside the body.
So anyway Vanessa was supposed to start her period on friday, but her cycle was all out of wack this month, and she ovulated two days later than she normally does, so when her period didnt come on friday...or saturday we really were not thinking anythign different. Then sunday came and went, and monday came...and i finally convinced her to just take a test....whats the worst that could happen? if its negative...we would find out sooner regardless, and we wouldnt have all this built up energy!! So to the point.....we took a cheapy test....faint line BUT STILL A LINE...took another test.....and again a positive, and just to be sure (lol) we did another one this morning....and yup...its a positive!!
So now we have a dr apt tomorrow, since vanessa will likely be high risk, and our doctor has been watching everything very carefully since we started this process!
Sooo Ahhhh
we are still in such a state of shock, i think we are both just walking around like zombies...i didnt get to sleep until 3am!
