Why is it that my 2-year old LOVES the Nickelodeon show Yo Gabba Gabba?? I find it VERY creppy and quite disturbing....

anyone else find this show as scary as I do?? I cant even be in the room when she is watching it!

Aw! I thought that was fantastic! Your daughter must be very bright if she enjoys that.I can imagine my children loving that when they were young kids! It is teaching her about all the different foods and how they end up in the tummy. I would talk to her about it when she is watching it and ask questions relating to it all!I love education that is so much fun. I had friends who never allowed their kids to watch anything, if it was in the least bit off the wall.Mine loved all that stuff. They are now both at uni and have always been very advanced compared to some of their peers who were far too sheltered in my eyes.

Personally I dont like it either! But I guess its not based on what we like, i mean look at Dora and now Deigo. Luckly its not on Noggin yet, just a few songs, so i get to advoid it for now. Courtney does love it so soon enough we get to watch it.

My kids (6yo included) LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba. I really try and time the t.v. to be on when it's NOT!

yea i can usually do arts and crafts with her at that time and avoid it....but lately thats when Kaydee has been wide awake and wanting to be held or fed so theres not way around it then!

I make sure to not have that channel on when it's on....It's just too much going on for me. I'll stick with Elmo...although I do need a break from him sometimes too!!! Katelyn knows what he's going to do before he does it! She sings the intro song and says hi to dorathy and says "dadadada!!" Right before Elmo tells you what he's thinking about today....she could probably do the whole show herself. She asks to watch "Mel-mo" pretty much 24/7. She likes blues clues, ruby & max, Charlie and Lola, and she likes the Simpsons...Sometimes its just nice to watch something that isn't animated.

I'm not going to lie- that was probably the coolest thing EVER. I have never seen it on tv here- I wonder if it airs on Treehouse.Dora and Diego make me want to beat my head against a wall- I seriously hope they are long gone before Norah is old enough to know what they are.
ETA- OMG- They actually do the Numa Numa dance....I think I just peed.

Personally, I do not like Yo Gabba Gabba at all. I find it annoying. Luckily, DS is more into Bob the Builder or Thomas the Tank Engine. I can watch Bob any day of the week, but I am not so keen on Thomas.
